The thing with fix a flat is that they recomend that you drive the car after you put it in. If you don't drive it long enough,,,it somehow dries weird inside the tire and causes it to become unbalanced. Sounds crazy, but it happened to me. I might have used to much though....

As for my tune, I have 3 tunes with my SCT / JLT combo... I have an 87 Performance, 91 Torque and 91 Race... I have used all three and am using the 91 Race right now and love it! The 87 Perf. tune is nice (and I may go back to it with gas prices soaring!) and the 91 torque was fun, but the 91 race has nice power down low *and* up high... That sucker keeps pulling in the higher rpms and is a lot of fun, especially on freeway on ramps... It's a great 'overall' tune that so far, I haven't found any negatives for... I just read up on here before I ordered my tunes and am glad I did, otherwise I probably would have stuck with the 87 tunes... But the 91 tunes are bit more fun! [/quote]

Thanks for the tune info...I think you have helped me in deciding which tune to go with for my GT500...
Have you ever had any warranty issues because of the custom tune?

Not to hijack but is fix-a-flat safe for the TPMS? I've got a slow leak on my non-factory rears after a couple of weeks and sitting the pressure drops to the twenties. I thought of fix-a-flat but was concerned I don't know what that does to the indide of the tire.

I am glad I could help! Anything regarding warranty work, I usually put everything back to stock before taking the car in... Kind of a pain, but if they end up re-flashing the computer for any reason, you're better off having everything stock or you could run into problems!

Not knowing 100% how the TPS actually works, I am not sure, but I do know the sensors wrap around the rim, so I would think that the fix a flat stuff may end up coating it... I don't know it that is a bad thing or not, but I would venture to guess it would be...

My Bullitt came with a tire inflation kit instead of a spare/jack. It says in the owners manual that after the "sealant" (i.e. fix-a-flat) is used then the TPMS sensor needs to be replaced.

Yeah, it can clog the sensor, fix-a-flat also makes repairing the tire a bit more dicey as well, ideally the tire should be replaced as well, but that'd be about at least a 300 bill every time you have a flat.

have they tried beraking the tires from the rim and rotate the tire on the rim? Second thought was the fix a flat also. I hate putting that stuff in ,my tires but its works as a last resort.

here is my $0.02....Been where you were last year summer and fall. I have the fanblades and have had the TPS low alarm going off bi-weekly it seemed from the time i purchased the car in Mar. The nitro fill was the ticket. even with the Nitro fill you must bring it monthly to top it off. (recoomended from nitro fill). (Why) because it will never really be a 100% nitrogen from the air exchange method, there will be a small 1-3 psig flux. Since the nitro fill exchange last Nov I have not seen the TPS low light. I live in a rapid changing climate of Colorado. The temps in the winter flux from 20 deg one day to 60 deg the next all winter long. BOL with the cure.

Nope, they never did not take the tires off the rims...

Good to know! Sounds like I am heading in the right direction! So far, after a weekend of driving around, it seems to be holding better... I still am going to drop in next Friday just to see if the Nitro is holding, but this seems to be looking like a 'fix'...
