Terrible Raddle Coming from the Rear

So I have an 07 GT with about 5,000 miles on it. I have put an eibach pro kit on it and flowmaster exhaust. For the past two week I have been fighting a loud raddle that is coming from the rear ov the car. I have climbed under the car and tapped on shook and lubed everything I could get my hand on. I also removed the spare and jack and I havcen't changd it at all. Any body have any ideas I am all out.

check the eibach stuff

I have the flowmaster kit and if the pipes are straight and centered in the GT tip cut-outs you won't have an exhaust rattle.

It seems that every car that I have lowered and changed suspension on has had a rattle shortly after install. I think all of it has to be re-torqued after installation and some miles on it. I put the Ford Racing Suspension on my car three months ago and now I am having a rattle. I have to re-torque the struts and lub the gromits on the sway bars.

Also, you should torque everything on ramps or on a wheel lift. Don't lift the body and then torque stuff. You need to torque and check everything with the weight of the car on the suspension. Good luck.

Is it a rattle you hear when you go over a bump... or is more like a vibration rattle at certain RPMs? When I first put my A/Ts on, after about 100 miles, I started getting a consistent metallic vibration sound at 1400 - 1600 RPMs.. turned out it was the axle-back clamps not being torqued down enough. Good way to test: with exhaust cool, go under car... push up on clamp where axle-backs join the over axle pipe... if you can lift more than a inch and see physical move of the pipe at this joint, they're not tight enough. After I had these torqued down, could hardly budge pipes.

I have the AT Flowmasters and also have a rattle in the back. But its not the mufflers. Its my trunk lid. I can push down on it and hear the same rattle I hear when driving. I have lubed the little rubber bump stoppers and that helped for a couple days, but the rattle has come back. Maybe I need to use a better lube since that area does get wet and probably washes it off.

When you did your suspension did you get a adjustable panhard bar? I did and that is what my rattle was, the bar kept coming loose.

At any rate keep this in mind; anything dealing with the suspension or body on part contact is always magnified in sound. Look for any exhaust or suspension rubs.

Good luck

Ya I have checked for clearence around the entire exhaust and there is plenty of room. All of the nuts and bolts are tight I just checked them yesterday. I lubed all of the bushings also and it made no difference. The exhaust clamps are tight that was my first guess also. The rattle/squeak happends while I am on the freeway, go over bigger bumps, and when the exhaust is at a certain tone. The squeak is diffentaly a metal to metal sound and the rattle sounds like a piece of steel round bar vibrating against a body pannel. I is also a significantly loud rattle.

mine rattled

check where the exhaust goes over the axle and under the rear subframe, right in the bend going down to the muffler, thats where mine rattled. when I hit sharp bumps or let of the gas and let the motor slow me down, I got a rattle. just kept tweaking the exhaust till it didn't hit.
