Rattle-stopping mission - need to remove all interior panels
Do any of you have in pdf format the insrtuctions to remove all the interior panels (minus the door panel - I have that).
I have developed so many little noises, it's starting to make me think that maybe I should have bought an import this time around. I am on a mission to rattle-proof every panel inside the car. Basically, take over where FORD LEFT OFF.
Thanks!

And, yeah I hear you on the dealership thing - that's why I refuse to take it in to those idiots.

you can download the entire manual for all cars, throw the owner of the site a couple of dollars for his bandwidth
I don't know the guy, but a great resource nonetheless

My experience with the console and the center dash rack (radio, etc.) is that they come apart and go back together pretty easily and you don't introduce more problems by taking them apart. When I put in my 5230-GTA axle-backs I had a little buzz at 1000 rpm. It was in the trim around the center rack. I disassembled it, put a few dabs of clay in strategic spots. Everything went back together with no problems, and no more buzz.
Had to same porblem with my 06, I ended up just putting felt in the far corners of both A pillars where the dash, A pillar, and glass meet worked out fine, then I would just take it out in the spring. Beats having my service department mark up & soil my interior, though thats not just a Ford problem my family have owned alot of Toyota's in the last 10 yrs. and there was this one tech who every time he worked on my Tacoma the truck came back smelling like old hoagies and BO.
So far with my 07 I have only experienced the shift boot squeak that resonated throughout the cabin and took a while to ultimately centralize. I lifted the bezel and boot and lubed it down... problem solved
. These cars are a lot better soundproof than the last Mustang that I owned. It seemed that the more I tried to fix the notorious "squeaks" the worse it got. In my experience, when you start lifting panels and removing dash components, you're doomed. You may fix the initial sqeak, however, create two more
. Never, ever, take it to the dealer. You'll be far worse off than to just live with it. Believe me, I hate the dreaded squeaks as well. I once had to replace a dash that I punched and cracked out of fustration
