New used car, few problems
Hi everyone!
I just bought myself a 2005 v6 convertible. But it got to problem i would like to fix.
1. On my dashboard it says that my engine is always ice cold. I've google i bit and few guys said that it is a bad stepper motor in these cars. I've bought a voltmeter for checking the sensors but can anyone tell me which temperature sensors it can be?
2. The roof of my car can be a little hard to get up sometimes. Sometimes it works on the first push of the button, but sometimes I have to push the button like 20 times before it will go up again. Everyone i asked tells me a different thing. Either it is the button, the motor needs lubricant or i have to grease the parts that are moving. Anyone got a good idea?
Thank you so much in advanced!!

Not sure on the sensor location...I think it uses the cylinder head temp sensor for that but not 100% sure.
On the top, I would use the volt meter to see if voltage is being supplied to the tops motor on every press of the button. This will solve the button or not.
If that is good, check the fluid level in the motor. There is a rubber plug on it to check that with. Uses regular tranny fluid I believe.
As far as greasing things, does the top move smooth when it does operate? If so, no need to do greasing now.
