Master Cylinder

I have been getting a ' Brake Fluid Low Level' message along with a brake and TCS dummy light for a few weeks now. TCS was also kicking off as a result. Nothing wrong with the fluid level. This was mostly happening when it was hot but intermittent. It finally came on and stayed long enough for me to get it to the dealer.

Anyway they did their thing, made sure it wasn't bad wiring and ordered a new master cylinder because evidently the sensor is built in and it comes as one unit. Seems like a waste but whatever.

When they install it I'll let everyone know if it fixes it.

I'm having the exact same problem...I'm brining mine in on Monday, hope the dealer will be able to fix this problem with no issues.

I had the fluid leaking out of the master cylinder. I brought it in showed them the problem..... new cap and pressure test.....done! I never felt any difference in braking or any dash lights stating a problem.... So will see if it starts leaking again.... Good luck with your visits to the dealership!

BTW my car only has 1300 miles on it..........

Forgot to update. The dealer replaced the entire master cylinder assembly. I thought they'd only have to replace a sensor but evidently it's all one piece.

I haven't had the problem again but it hasn't been as hot as it was when I was having the problem before. It's supposed to be in the 90"s this weekend so I'll give it a real test.
