MAJOR electrical problems

So about a month ago I was driving in my car, 2006 mustang v6 pony package, and I head a click from the passenger kick panel. Then my radio went out headlights went out, no power windows, no electronic door locks, dash lights still worked for some reason though. So I pulled off the road and shut my car off, turned it back on and all was well again. A week later it happened again, turned my car off all was okay again. Few days later again. Now every time I get in my car it does it. Shutting off the car works for a little while but I haven't had a time driving where it doesn't happen now. I have no idea why this is happening all of a sudden. The only thing I have done was change the battery. Please if you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks a million

Sounds like the "Smart Junction Box". There's an electric module behind the kick panel that controls all the body electrical stuff. The main cause of failure on our cars is water leaks in that area - it gets wet & fried. Its very expensive - $400 or so.

This is the part they replaced on mine the first time - mine's a 2007 so yours is similar:
