Interior light

Guys, I just picked up a 2007 GT for a good price and am slowly fixing the little annoying things. I am stuck on interior lights. They don’t work at all. No trunk light. No map lights. Doesn’t work with dimmer **** or opening door. Nothing. I haven’t found a blown fuse. Any ideas?

So I should check for codes even with no lights or check engine light?

Yes if You Have a Reader Capable Of Pulling Body Codes It Would Not Hurt. If You Don't Many Parts Houses Will Check Them. Just Make Sure Their Reader Can Pull More Than Just The Standard P-Codes. A Fault Will Not Always Set a Light.

Read Through The Pdf's And Choose Your Own Course of Action. I Added Wiring Diagrams For Interior Lighting As Well! I Am Thinking You Got Some Crusty Connections on Some SJB Connectors But That is Just a Guess. Seems To Be a Pattern Here Lately For Folks Picking up A Used S-197.

You Are Welcome!

If You Need Anymore Docs LMK!

I Think This Will Give you a Good Start and at The very Least Know The Shape of the SJB To Prevent Future Issues!

I haven't started to track this down yet but the cold weather has identified another problem. MY defroster isn't working. Heat only blows out of dash vents. does any of this go through the SJB?

I actually ordered the defrost actuator and it came in a few days ago. No clicking it just doesn't switch from the dash vents. I am off work tomorrow so hopefully I can get at least 1 of these 2 problems figured out.

Just wanted to give an update on my issues. Finally got some time to dig and find the issue. Let this be a reminder to check the easiest things first. I spoke with the previous owner and the interior lights not the defroster worked the entire time he owned it.

Interior lights- had no bulbs. putin new bulbs and they work like a champ.

Defroster- went to replace the actuator and found it unplugged. Plugged it up and it seems to work fine.

I guess I celebrated too soon. Last night on my way home I noticed a faint glow from the interior lights. once i stopped the car and turned off headlights and Key it was still on. Lights did go all the way off once it timed out. Did some swapping with my other car and noticed it only does this with the LED bulbs I bought yesterday. and only then if they are both installed. Anyone know why this might be happening?

I was thinking this was the case. that was all the parts store had available. but was thinking it could be a switch. Even though the light/cover in my wifes 2011 looks the same, the whole thing wont plug in. Swapped one bulb and it works fine. Just weird.
