Back in the old days, you changed hoses and fluid every 4 years. But you also changed points and plugs every tune up Lol.

What is the current suggested replacement or what have you found to be a good replacement interval.

 

According to my service schedule, my 05 gets a coolant flush and hose inspection at 5 years. I just did the work an month ago. Hoses looked and felt fine. The flush was quick and easy.

 

What type of collant did you put back in?

 

I used the ford coolant recommend in the owners manual and distilled water.

 

going on 10 years with my 00 coolent but the last time I tested it was still good

 

Peak makes a premixed coolant that meets the spec. I think it is global long life or something. It's yellow.

 

What are you testing, the ph ?
