Hidden Anti Theft Kill Switch Suggestions*

Does anyone have a suggestion as to which wire I can hook a kill switch up to. So my car will not start unless I flick the switch. Any suggestions as to where to mount the switch would be helpful as well. Thanks for the help

Uhhhh..... do you want it to not crank or just not start? I guess you can put a cut off switch anywhere along the fuel or ignition. Or you can utilize the components that are already on the car like neutral safety or clutch switch. Put the switch anywhere you want. I'm not sure what you are looking for here, do you want it hidden or easily accessible? Maybe you need a kill switch because you moved your battery??? You can get one of those from Jegs or Summit. What is the purpose of the kill switch, kinda vague here? if you get a battery cutoff switch it has to be mounted on the rear most part of the car.

On one of my previous Capris the previous owner installed a switch under the driver seat for the fuel pump. Car would crank but not start when switch was used.

I've never thought to install one on any of my other cars, but it worked.

Thanks Gents. I want it hidden. I want it so my car will be harder to steal. I suppose it would be better if it didn't crank over. I have an auto trans

There's a perfect place for switches in the center console of my '14. It's a knockout panel that's easily replaceable.

Any such luck on early S197s?

If you're going to put the switch on the center console you can just tap the neutral safety for your kill switch.

Thanks. That is what I will grab the neutral safety switch wire. Most likely hide the switch under the dash somewhere.
