Unhappy **HELP** Blue Smoke

Ok so my '07 GT/CS has 86k and i faithfully change the oil every 5k with full synthentic and the past couple of days i see BLUE smoke when I start it in the morning. What could be the issue and resolution? I love my stang and dont want major issues . Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe oil getting sucked back in the intake though the pcv tubes, are you running catch cans?

No "Catch Cans" as I am not even sure what that is

I would think that oil is seeping past a valve seal or two from the galleys in the head down into the cylinder overnight. Prob from an exhaust valve seal since they sit lower in the head. Particularly the rear ones #4 & #8.

Not a big deal... just 86k starting to show.

Catch cans are oil separators since for some reason Ford doesn't utilite a PCV (pollution control valve) on the 4.6 - just a straight tube. And they tend to produce more blow by than many engines. Search oil separators here and you'll find many threads.

mines done it intermittently since new(48k now)...usually if I start it, move it, shut it off, next time started big blue cloud...if its driven even a short ways before shutting off, never see it at restart- but after a short run it smokes like its shot...kinda embarassing

it doesnt use any oil, within a second its cleared, figured just a quirk of these engines...

This. Both of my 08's did that. If I cranked it, backed it out of the garage and shut it off, then came back a little later to pull it back in it would let out a cloud. But, I could back it out, drive it down the street, park it, then it wouldn't do it the next time I cranked it.
