My wife and i just bought this 2005 mustang GT premium just 4 days ago from a dealership paid cash for it! It has 15,640 miles on the vehicle and when you hop in the car it sounds like a rubbing noise when you back up and then when you are turning at low speeds. I don't know what could be going on for real! it has the big drag tires on the back 305 ...18 and 245...17 on the front would that have something to do with anything please help! i am taking back to the dealer to be inspected! Please help i don't want to know tha we bought a car that after purchasing for 19,990$.

Are you also turning while backing up when it makes the noise? It may just need the rear diff oil changed with a new bottle of limited slip additive. Is it the stock rear, or is there a chance the previous owner put in a locker?
