Got a Rattle Fixed.

I had a rattling terribly under my car that would happen over a bumpy road going like 35 or so. It progressively got worse, and then got too unbearable to stand..and I thought something was majorly wrong with the car. I brought it to ford and it ended up being "Loose end links" This might have happened to other people,if you feel like the wheels are going to break loose/ and the undercarraige is like falling apart. then you probably have this. This is the fact that the sway bar ends are not tightened enoguh and just work their way loose. When you add a sway bar make sure you get leverage and tighten. When I put my gt sway bar on, We put the car on ramps and what we thought was tight...wasnt. They didnt charge anything (looked stock under there) but I have to check to make sure they didnt swap my sway bar with another v6 one. This has happened to a friend of mine and he had to get a humongous breaker bar to tighten in and fix the problem. Problem fixed.

This is a good reminder, and there are several theads where people have eliminated front end noise by tightening loose end links. I think the spec is about 80 ft-lbs, which is more than I would have thought.

The sway bar links are like tie rod ends and they move up and down with the suspension and turn with the steering as well, so I can see why they would loosen up if not tightened to specs and why the spec is so high.
