I've had that problem every now and then... I've cleaned EVAP few times, without help.
I have easy cure for that and always get full tank: LEAVE THE POWER ON (don't start) while filling up. With power on, the evap canister (under rear of car) makes vacuum to circulate the air inside the tank. Try it. IT WORKS!

yes it does work, after reading your message early this morning, I thought that I would give it a try since I had to make my weekly contribution to the oil companies, and it worked perfectly, there is no need to have the car running, all you need to do is just run the key on with the engine off, and you can fill the tank.
my supervisor at work has a 2000 Taurus and has the same issues with it, he has always had to turn the nozzle at 90 degrees, I am going to tell him about this and see if it will work on his car too.

Man this is GREAT!!!! Cannot tell you how thankful I am for this information. I still haven't tried it yet, as I just got back from biz travel, but will try in the next few days.

I also posted this on another Mustang forum this morning too, I just checked to see the replies, and there was one "know-it-all" that said that I was wrong and that would just cause the gauge to read slower, and another one mentioned the turning the nozzle 45-90 degrees and was happy about that, well good for him, as for me, I would rather spend less time filling my tank and not have the pump click off every few seconds.
the real credit does go to mvon919, without him, I wouldn't have thought about doing that, I figured worth a try, and I wanted to confirm it.
