Exhaust and Warranty
Exhaust and Warranty
Hello everyone i would like to say this a is a great website i just joined and found a lot of the topics interesting. Well i just bought my first car ever which is an 2007 mustang gt. My question if anyone knows or has an idea is i just bought a jba exhaust which i will have soon but i was wondering if that voids out the warranty? i read the warranty and it stated it wouldnt cover damage cause by the exhaust but does that void out the whole thing. sry if this is a newb question i am just curious
The only thing aftermarket parts will void is anything that can be directly related to the aftermarket part. They can't say that axle back exhaust caused your window to stop working, and they can't say a Pioneer Head Unit caused your engine to explode. So, your warranty is still good. Axle Back exhausts really can't hurt anything, so your good to go!
I put Flowmaster AT axlebacks on my 2006GT... I took it in to the dealer due to a rattle. Thought it was the center-stack hanger TSB.. turned out it was my Flows (and the funky bracket it comes with). Dealership tightened them up.. but did say all is well with my warranty.. except for the Flows themselves.
O ok i think once i bought my car i got a mod fever. i started looking at aftermarket websites buying mustang magazines sometimes i cant even focus cause i want to look at parts. i dont know what i have become
