Engine Light Question About An 05 GT I May Be Getting

Hi guys, a guy wants to swap his 05 GT for my 68 and he has said that the engine light comes on now and again, he's told me he's had it checked out by a mechanic and all seems fine but I want to get an unbiased opinion from you lot as i'm only really used to classics, how serious potentially is this? Is it common problem? Any ideas what it could be? It seems strange to me that it's coming on and off on such a new car? Thanks for any help

mine went off and on but it had a problem that did get fixed. I would say it shouldn't come on at all unless theres a problem with the car. Does it go into limp mode when the light comes on or does it still run like its supose to? Any pics of the 68 you can share with us?

Has he modified the car so that he has a tuner , like a Diablo or SCT ? IF so , you can see if there are any codes when the light comes on and get an idea as to what the problem is ...
