Drained Automatic Trans Fluid from bottom of pan, can I drive to dealer?

Not quite sure why I allowed my son to try and change the oil in my stang, but I did. Instead of him draining the oil, he decides to drain the transmission fluid from the tranny pan. So my question is, do I need to have my car towed now to the shop?? Or can I drive it the 2 miles to there?

tried this with another 05 stang, his dad did the same thing. NO, it doesnt have enough to stay in gear.1 of 2 things . Tow it, or find a reverse filling pump and add the fluid your self.

NO. NADA. DON"T. And do NOT even bother trying to refill thru dip stick. A lot of Plastic internals, you'll fry them. USe your Roadside Assistance for a free "Flatbed" lift to your dealer,

I dont have it because its at home and I'm at work but the Haynes manual has a procedure for changing the auto trans fluid. I dont recall needing any specialty type tools ecxept maybe a pump as others have stated.

There is a plug at the back of the automatic trans, on the tail-shaft. Remove that plug and put 5-6 quarts in. Start it, let it warm up and put the trans in each gear position. With the engine running and the car level on jack stands, get under and remove the middle section of the drain plug with a torx bit to drain the excess fluid. When it trickles a thin stream, you're all good. Put the plug back in and that's it. The drain plug has a tube on it that makes sure the fluid level in the pan isn't too high.
