i went to my dealer today, to check the software, they told me i needed a reflash since i am still getting hesitation even after the fuel pump tsb. when they plugged it in, it said i have the latest version. is it possible their computer is just not updated?

 

I guess that's all they may say if when they look and it says up to date yadda yadda, now maybe they have to buy it ?

 

It is up to the dealership's system administrator and/or shop tech's to update the software. We don't have to pay for updates.

 

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm taking my car in next week for an oil change and to have the drivers side mirror fixed. Simply telling them NOT to reflash the PCM should be enough, shouldn't it? That might be a silly question to some but I ask because I don't know.

yea, if u really wanna be sure just stick a piece of electrical tape over it. trust me they dont wanna do anything they dont have to do tho.

 

As I understand it ,the tech goes online with Ford to get the latest information and then flashes it in to your pcm. They do not save things like that on their system, but get it from the oasis site when they need it.
