Clacking Clicking Brakes

Clacking Clicking Brakes
So I have a clacking or clicking noise coming from my right-rear tire it sounds like every time I apply the brake.
I usually hear it when I'm driving slower, but in any case it's always there.
I read that others had this issue, but no one seems to have found the solution.
If anyone knows what this is please let me know.
Thanks.

Are you still using the stock Ford brake pads? I had what might be a similar noise but only when backing up and only when I had Hawk Blue race pads on the rear. The Hawk pads do not have the anit-rattle pad like the factory Ford pads do. I just chaulked it up to the race pads. It went away when I switched back to the Ford pads for daily driving.

I have it too. I took it into the dealer a while back and they couldnt find anything wrong with it, it seems to get worse in the cold. I need to take it back in soon and get whatever it is fixed.

I have this problem too! I thought I was going nuts but atleast now you guys have given me alittle piece of mind. At slower speeds, I can tap the brakes or begin to come to a stop and there is definetely an audible "click" sound from the right rear brake/tire. At first I thought it was my Steeda LCA, but it's not- it really seems to be brake related.

Brakes aren't squealing- it's one quick audible "click" from the right rear tire when you first apply the brake- just "click" and then it's gone until you hit the brake again later. Is there a TSB on that?

I have the same click. Stock brakes, only when backing up, seems to be coming from the right rear as mentioned previously. It's been doing it for as long as i can remember, so I don't think it is hurting anything.
Now watch my right rear wheel fall off tomorrow!

I took mine in and had it fixed... although if I knew then what I do now I would have just done it myself.
All it is, is the bracket that holds the pads in place broke... so that allowed the brake to be loose in the caliper.
Simple solution, go to Pep Boys, get new pads and put them in... problem solved.
Or you can take it in like I did and wait all day and argue with a tech until they finally fix it

Anyone else find a solution to this? I've had this problem since I bought the car and nobody can find anything wrong, had the pads and rotors replaced and everything tightened and still have the clicking noise coming from the brakes! Can't really tell which wheel it's coming from but it's annoying..Help!!

When they did the pad replacement did they use silicone brake caliper and dielectric grease? They should have re-lubed the brake caliper guide pins and sleeves as well as lubed the stainless steel pad retainers on the caliper anchor that the pads ride on.

Took the car in to the dealer a few days ago because I was hearing a squeaking coming from the wheels and they found that the left front caliper slide pin was frozen..lubed it up and the clicking is gone for now. Didn't find anything with the squeak but I heard it again last night very faintly then went away. Have to track that down now.....
