no way to tell unless you have any noticable symptoms, a warning message or an OBD Scanner/handheld tuner to pick up the DTC trouble code

If you have the IUP and message center, try this (it works on my 07):

(1) with key in ignition and car off, hold down both the RESET and SETUP buttons
(2) turn the key to ON (two clicks)
(3) release the RESET and SETUP buttons
(4) Look and the message info center, and press the RESET button to cycle through the display options, eventually you'll ge to the option for DTC
(5) See if it mesage center will list the DTC trouble code
(6) to exit, turn the key to OFF

good call... if it's stock, let the warranty take care of it.

i think they'll categorize that as misuse, or regular wear and tear..
however both mine broke although i've only had passengers in the rear seat maybe 4 times.

plenty of people here reported them breaking too.. they're just not designed properly!
