Yeah, floor mat thing happened to me too. But that was when I had the OEM rubber mat on TOP of the OEM carpet mat.. now I only have the rubber mat and it's locked in with the little plastic hook.

Tell you What! That was a scary ride...It's a strange feeling you get when you loose partial control of your car...I was sh!!..ing bricks.!

Another thought for this thread.......

IAC (Idle Air control valve).

They easily get dirty and a little carb cleaner will do the trick. If the idle surges, flux or just plain accelerates while at idle.

It is simple to clean or even replace if you desire.
This was my major pain back when I had an 05 pony.
My 07 GT has not experienced any idle issues.

Thanks for the info....Its probably a good idea to clean it every once in a while anyway.
