Can anyone ID this intake?
My newly-acquired '07 GT/CS has an intake with a filter that really needs cleaning or replacing and I realized this must be aftermarket.
I can find no name on it visible anywhere, which is not encouraging.
Do all the legitimate (ie non-Chinese knockoff) guys put their name on the thing?
I think I understand a car with a real CAI requires a tune to run right, so I think that means one of two things:
1. I got a CAI and a tune courtesy of the previous owner and just need a tuner to adjust.
2. I got a cheapass knockoff that really doesn't do much but make noise and still need to get both a CAI and a tuner.
PLEASE tell me good news someone!

Steeda's don't have their name on it. Mine does not anyway, but they are Blue and Require a tune to run right. The pic does not work for me, so I can't tell ya. I would either get a Steeda or a Ford Racing CAI and a good tune from a Reputable Tuner.

Thanks for your efforts. I did some searching but did not find those guys. They have a surprising amount of low-end-looking accessories available.
I am glad the "poop brigade" was so entertained.
However, I have seen worse. At least it is functional and is not just hanging in the engine compartment sucking hot air. Definitely plan on replacing soon.
Someone want to hook me up?

I was referring to the dirty air filter and rubber TB attachment. I would replace is ASAP because you never know how effective the off brand CAI really is. Last thing you want is dirt and liquid getting sucked into your engine. Gas mileage compromised etc. The brand is subjective as I have never tried the product.

If I hadn't stupidly bought hood lifts that require drilling I would take some new pics to show, but I am looking for replacements that just bolt in as is.
Also need to come up with a way to get all the "beach" off the engine block. Previous owner was in a coastal resort town, so I had to blow out mucho sand from the compartment, but the engine itself has a powdery whitish residue on it. I can wipe it off ok by hand, but I am thinking a long handled brush may be needed.
