Battery Terminal Clamps

Went out to start up the Mustang and the battery was dead. Took a quick look and noticed a build-up of corrosion on the clamps and terminals. How in the heck do you get those clamps off the terminals without breaking something? I checked TacoBill's write-ups but didn't find one. I hate all these instructions that say to remove the ground terminal from the battery before working on the car. But there are no pictures or instructions on how to get them off. Help please!

I changed the battery in my '08 this week (stock one still worked fine, I just replaced it with a smaller one that was 17 lbs lighter) and it seemed very straightforward to me. One screw on each battery terminal. The one on the negative post was on the side like most are, the one on the positive terminal was straight up.

Here is some Misc. Battery Info you may find Helpful and or interesting. It's all 2011 Stuff but that should not make much of a difference.

Enjoy,

Thanks for the assistance. I guess I just have to have some patience and try to get them wiggled off.

The newer Mustangs have the battery reversed compared to 05-09, just FYI. Positive on mine is at the fender (07), positive is at the engine on 10-up.
