Battery Tenders?

I'm looking at getting a battery tender for my Mustang in the next month or so when it becomes a garage queen...

The question I had is there any issues with plugging in a cigarette style plug into the dash plug? Ford is the only brand that I know that has constant power to their accessory plugs (well outside of USB on the Sync on a Escape), so I was wondering if this would be an issue...I'm thinking it wouldn't be, but just want to confirm.

I've had my 2007 V6 on a Battery Tender Plus using the cigarette lighter adapter since 2008. Wish I had done it sooner. No problems at all. Still have the original battery. 753 miles on the odometer as of Feb, 2013

Thanks Barry...I'm on my second Battery with the car...so I had an issue with it about 4-5 years ago where it went dead in my parents driveway when I was gone for 25+ days for work (didn't want to leave it in front of my condo while I was away)

The last battery only lasted 3 years too

The battery tenders come with two options for connection. I attached the permanent
connection to the terminals, just open the hood and plug in. Works for me.
