2007 HVAC fan speed problems

Hey all. I recently had an issue where the fan setring would only work on 4. I figured it was the blower motor resistor so I stopped by O'Reilly auto parts and got a new one. Worked great for about a day then back to only working on 4 only. I was told it was the blower motor itself needing replaced. I ordered a replacement from autozone and got a new resistor as well. Everything worked awesome for about a week. Today on the way home the fan speed stopped working on 2 and is back to only working on 4 again. What is going on?

Time For Some Reading!

A Check of The Plug in to Blower Switch and Maybe Use Some Contact Cleaner on Connection and Switch! Just a Thought!

Here are The FORD Shop Manual pdf's on Hvac.

I'm so confused dude. The a/c works fine. I'm just trying to figure out why i keep blowing through resistors. Do I need a new switch?

Relax, The 2nd PDF Has Info on Blower Switch Diag. It's 80 Pages Got To Scroll a Bit!

If You Check Connector and Clean Switch and Things Start Working You Know The Switch Has Issues! If So!

Aftermarket Has The Switch as Well! As Cheap as it Is! Might Want to Just Replace & Know! Factory Parts Do Hold Up Better Though!
