towing company

Ok so I need to get the mustang home. I know people on here have had cars towed, so what company did you use? I've got no idea who to call.

I thought I saw you going south on Research Park Blvd this week. What happened? Make sure you get a company that does flatbed towing, else your front valence will get bent.

Parker Towing. They do all of mine. Flatbed. Never hurt a vehicle. Always gets there in good time.

Now I just call my insurance company and I don't even need any money. They are direct charged.

I like Barry's Towing. They have flatbeds and have given me good service a few times now.

Either my flywheel has broken teeth or I broke the starter that I put on the car 4 days prior to breaking down on campus. The starter motor just spins, no attempt at cranking the engine.

Put a wrench on the crank pulley and rotate the engine. Retry start. If no good, remove starter and bench test bendix

Can't you push start it? Get it rolling, jump in, and clutch it! You need to get emergency road service on your insurance policy. Don't any of your friends have a rope?!

Well its home and the problem has been found. The starter has chipped sections of teeth on the flywheel, so that the gear no longer engages.

Well it gets a new starter as well. Mine failed the test, and it was only used for 4 days.

I've never messed with trying to put a new ring gear on a flywheel. Is it cost effective? New flywheels are less than $100 and used ones are plentiful aren't they?

Well have the new starter on and the car cranks now. So I'm not going to install the ring gear.

With chipped teeth on the ring gear, this won't last long.
