if your running the crack or have ever ran it....let's here your opinions of it, this will be the first car I've ever driven nitrous powered....btw, this is that 98 GT that was at the show, not the termi.

it's a NOS kit with purge, bottle heater, WOT switch with a MSD window switch, and is a dry kit.
it says 75 and 100 jets is what I have....I'm wondering how well the motor will hold up to that!?

workman, did you ever get yours installed? I think I saw you the other day, could be wrong, it was a white cobra with black tail lights ? never saw either one of your cars in germany.

 

I am running the ZEX kit on my 05GT with the 100hp jets. It is a kick in the pants to say the least. Nitrous is an all torque, right now feeling that can't be beat.

 

No I haven't installed it yet. I have been putting my time into suspension stuff. I really don't have that much time as it is.

My V6 is white with Black taillights and the Cobra is yellow with Black taillights. If the car you saw had a cobra fascia then it wasn't me. However, I did see a 03/04 Cobra Friday at about 4:20 by the fire Dept on redstone. Was that you??

You thought the 6'er was a Cobra........That's a compliment I guess. Although the V6 is in need of some SERIOUS love and attention. I need to stop griping about it and do something.

Oh, well.....enough thought about the 6'er. Time to do some more research on the Cobra's suspension.

I now have a 75 shot of NX on my 97 havent sprayed it yet but it is fun to purge at people lol. just installed it yesterday, not to bad of an install.

Jon, before you get all crazy and start spraying, get a dyno run for AF ratio. Your pistons are hyperutectic. *Hyper-pathetic* as the are known. If you experience any detonation, even inaudible, your pistons will be toast.

Mberglo (Mark) or Puter (Ralph) mentioned Trackmasters dynos for around $45. Do it for the insurance and peace of mind.

Also, Nitrous is a intoxicant, you may loose your inhibitions...........once you try it, you'll want more, and . This happens alot to people because it is easy to get greedy with N2O. All you have to do is swap a pill and you have 50 more hp.

 

just one more hit, just one more.....I need more, that's not enough to suffice my needs! the biggest this GT will ever run is a 100 at most.
she's got 24 lb injectors already and I've bumped the fuel being put into the cylinders pretty good so it should compensate for the dry kit nicely.

 

yeah I have a appointment with Static X motersports to get dyno'd on saturday! not real worried YET just a wet 75 shot haha but everyone is telling me it is addicting. can you tell me where i can find a hole to get the wires for switches into my car? i dont wana drill one. virginia i thought that MP was turning around for us when we reved yesterday HAHA

 

I can show you a temporary way to cheat your wires for your switchs if you'd like, but otherwise you have to very very carefully, jut through the boot on the main harness and use a strong wire coathanger to push it through. it's not an easy task, especially on the DOHC's but on the SOHCs it's gonna be alot easier. right now I'm taking the cheater route cause my wires are protected. I wasn't worried about the MP, I saw him, but wasn't worried, what's he gonna do, say we were unlawfully revving? I missed a gear and your car has an idling problem, that's what I would have told him. no plausable reason for him to pull us over, neither one of us was driving wrecklessly. hell, you were stopped! I'm gonna meet up with you guys some time this weekend if possible. pm me your cell number, you and workman, and I'll PM you mine....

make sure you video when your rod shoots through the hood before the piston get's there......

I ran it on my 2002 GT i had.. was supposed to be a 100 shot on a dry kit. i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEED it!!!!!! Best way to add some quick hp. Its very addicting. We didnt have it tuned for it though so after a while the car started puking spark plugs out the pass. head... not fun.
Make sure you have some good sticky drag radials or it can get dangerous. We ran a few passes on street tires and nearly hit a wall. Even with the DRs my 02 would still try to break loose. Ran a 7.7 in laurenceburg Tn with that car! Oh..and it was an auto!
