what do you think this is going to be used for on my 67 mustang

My last guess would be it is the engine crossmemeber. The are usually curved though.

Not anymore, had a '67 Lincoln and a '59 Galaxie in the past that had forward tilting hoods. I've seen mention of BMW parts being used. kennyg

It's a torsion bar hood opening system? Kinda like a garage door system but the enclosed in that tube down the center? Eliminates the prop rod?
