RCMC raises money for Maddy McLemore
Madalyn Paige McLemore is 6 months old and has a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia. She is in need of a liver transplant, and is on the waiting list. In addition to the emotional stress this causes her family, it's also become a financial challenge. Friends have come together to help the family, and I'm proud to say that the participants of our show raised $372 this past weekend for the family.
In addition to the money, we had some very touching moments during the show. One participant, who was recovering from brain tumor surgery had to leave our show early. He came up to the tent, gave us $10 for Maddy, and told me that if his 61 F-100 truck wins a trophy, to give it to Maddy.
We also raffled a Mother's Day basket with $125 worth of pampering goodies. The winner of the raffle gave the basket back to us and told us to give it to Maddy's mom.
It was all so heartwarming. I have two healthy children, and I can't imagine what the McLemores must be going through.
If you didn't get a chance to donate, and would like to, they've set up a Facebook page. Click on the DONATIONS button near the top and it will take you to Paypal.

Again, thank you to all that donated. The family is very grateful.

Mark, thank you so much for setting all of this up and getting it together for the show. People were very happy to help out such a tiny one in need. I am very proud of the people that I associate with whenever I see and hear of such kindness.
Prayers and thoughts are with Maddy and her family.
