Pics of suspension
I was wondering if anyone had a picture of their fox body struts on the car. I am trying to see how it works. I am looking at a strut conversion. Just wanting to see how hard this will be.

First, ask if that will improve the car. Not all modifications improve the car, but they ALL involve a lot of work, time and money. There's nothing wrong with the front end suspension on a vintage Mustang that can't be fixed with simple proven methods. Research what Shelby did and what others have continued to do. Shelby drop, Shelby pitman arm, poly bushings, adjustable strut rods, roller perches, aftermarket swaybars, better shocks, aftermarket powersteering box, are all good things to start investigating. Understand what each thing does before diving in.

This is the only place that I know of off hand that does what you want.

Now I see a problem with doing this. I already have a 1"drop and have tire problems. They say it drops 2-3". I wouldn't be able to fit the 16s under anymore. I still might attempt it.

Are your tires rubbing the fender lip? Have you rolled the lips in? Your current mods won't be in play with this kit. You have 1" spacers currently and won't be using them, but I dont know the relationship of the face of the hub to the fender lip with the 'new' spindles compared to the originals, and how do the lengths of the lower control arms compare to the stock items. Also, I've read several articles on 5 lug conversions on Foxes and they recommend using the early SN95 spindles as the later ones have a wider tracking width. It might just be a matter of playing around with these couple of variables until you find the one that suits you best. You may have to get some different wheels though to make it all work. The kit that Fatman has for $2K doesn't seem like a bad kit for the price. Hello Fatman...my credit card # is...kennyg

Only reason I won't go 5 lug is I don't want to buy new rims. Just got these 2 months ago and I really like them. For right now the suspension will be the same.

You can actually get Pony rims in 5 lug now. 16s or 17s, several different widths and backspacing setups. I'm pondering a set of staggered 17x8s and 17x10s in four lug.

Those are nice except for the center cap. I would have to get the real pony for those.
