oil pan - autocross

I am going to start autocrossing my 2002 Mustang GT, and am worried about oil starvation. Are the stock pan baffled? Do I need to overfill, like the F-bodies do? Will I have any oil pressure/control problems autocrossing my car with the stock oil pan?

I would appreciate any help.

you should ask James Lambert (aka SoftBatch) on the TAC forum (www.teamtac.org), IIRC he autoxed a SN95 Mustang for several seasons.

I roadraced a 2001 with no oil issues.

Did you overfill, or just use stock recommended oil amount? Also, what is a good oil to use in the case the sump would become uncovered, so I dont spin all my bearings?

Unless you have serious suspension mods and new R compound tires, I doubt you'll have any issues on the autocross track. No changes are necessary.

He's absolutely right, all issues encountered concerned the driver.

LMan's right. I suffer from a disease called "Impaired Judgement". It makes me do things that I end up regretting. I think the symptoms started when I chose some of my friends.

I autocrossed my 96GT until last year. I never had a problem with oil starvation and never over filled. On the autocross course you typically don't see g's sustained long enough to pull the oil away from the sump in our cars. If you have any set-up questions let me know. I plan on running the mustang again once I get the engine sorted out to my liking.
