New Toy

So, after selling the racecar, I decided Sherry should have her own classic, so we bought this. It's a 72 coupe, L-48 350, 4 speed, air conditioning. Last year for the chrome bumpers.

Very nice. I don't much care for the later C3 Corvettes, but the early ones look good IMO.

That is a sharp Vette! Good you found one so nice and without any body rust. Maybe now you can build the old hot rod. kennyg

I would say "traitor", but I came close to trading my Boss 302 on a '72 454 4 speed convertible (blue) Vette several years ago. Always liked the '68-72 chrome bumper cars.

Yea, the body is surely rust free.

We didn't want a project, and couldn't afford a true showcar. This is a nice driver that needs a few things attended to.

Hoping it doesn't demand too much attention so we can finally start working on the 32.

Variety is the spice of life. My dad had a 72 when I was a kid. I used to ride in the hole behind the seats where the Ttops go.

Actually, no kids in the car is exactly what my wife was looking for!

I can relate to Mark, my grandfather had a 69 convertible with the hard top, that is my one day dream car. 427 WITH A 4 SPEED DROOLING

New Toy

Hey, nothing wrong with having a Corvette to go along with the Mustangs... I have a '72 Corvette myself, owned it for the better part of 30 years. It's an LT-1 ( solid lifter 350 ) with M-21 4 speed, and factory installed 4:11 axle. I have previously owned two '67 big block Vettes, one a 427/435 HP version...sold my '67 GT-500 to buy that one....man, wish I still owned BOTH of those cars!
