The mach could use some new carpet, so I'd like some suggestions.

I'm considering buying a molded kit and doing it myself. It looks to be pretty straight forward from a couple articles I found. I dont have any problems ripping the engine open but for some reason I'm a bit nervous about redo-ing the carpet.

Or should I take it to a local shop. If so who? This car isn't going on Rides anytime soon, so budget is a concern.

 

Carpet is simple. Buy the molded set and some champagne to celebrate your victory.

Yeah, I've done several carpets. It's a simple job. For my Foxes, I took the seats and console out and loosened some trim. voila'!

Save yourself some money and learn a little as you go. :-)
