Hand Sanding Cowl Vents is NO FUN!

I won't tell you the many hours, little pieces of sand paper, back aches, or the creative ways I thought I had devised to get all the paint out of these cowl vents. I will tell you it's NO FUN! Somewhere I have a before pic, but that was taken so long ago I don't remember how I filed it! This is a 1977 Mustang II I'm getting ready to paint. Doesn't the cowl look nice all sanded down to bare metal. DON'T TOUCH! I primed it with etching primer, next it will get a thorough sanding and primed with a 2K primer. Check out these couple of pics. I'll post a new thread on the complete project later. kennyg

Kenny.. what would you charge to repaint just the outside (no door jams, underhood etc) of my Daily Driver 86LX hatchback? Repaint same color of course. No body damage other than 2 door dings.

Don't have time to even do a simple repaint right now. Extreme21 was pleased with the work that Kings Body Shop in HG did on his Saleen recently, and they seem to always have a Stang there. Saw a late model up there the other day, blue with a white hood. Is that any of our RCMC'ers? kennyg

Yep, that happens to be my car. Mike said they did a really good job on his bumper, so I decided to use them after going up there and talking with them.

I thought it might be. That blue really stands out. Putting a shaker hood on it? kennyg

I already had the shaker, with the hole I originally cut, but decided to go with a different looking hood.
