Was attempting to install a garage door last night. Had picked up a used door, 4 panel type, all hardware? was in a box, and screws in bags separated according to length. Never tried this before, but got the door with the vertical track installed enough to lock up my garage for the night. Found a manufacturer's name on the door, Mid-America Door Company, and have now located their how-to page. http://www.midamericadoor.com/HowTo.html I'm dealing with a sloping floor and a low ceiling. My rough opening is a little too large, but I used screws so I can move the post I put in. The hardware is numbered too! I think I can make this work. From what I have seen they put the panels up first level and hold them in place with nails bent over to hold them in place. Then put the tracks up. Then springs.
