Fog Lights

Well I finally broke down and ordered new fog lights for my cobra. the old ones had been cracked when my dad decided to take the cobra for a test FLIGHT and the landing wasnt too good for the front bumper. So when I ordered them, American Muscle offered to give me a 100 dollar gift certificate if I wrote an 600 word article on how to install them. They said to include at least three pixs of the install and use appropriate language. Other than that it was whatever I wanted.

This is what I have so far. Please feel free to critique or laugh at it if you want!

Intro:

The 2003 and 2004 Cobras' fog lights are a functional way to help your vision in the fog, and with these lights, other drivers on the road are able to see your car better and from a further distance. These lights can also help with your vision at night and in my opinion they also give the cobra a more aggressive, sporty look.

Sometimes these fog lights can start to fog up, sometimes the bulbs can break, sometimes they can also yellow with age, or sometimes they may even crack. I believe the fog lights in my own Cobra cracked when I accidently bottomed out, then water leaked in through the cracks and shorted out one of my fog lights. These examples are some of the many ways they can be ruined. If you order this product, then it is simply a matter of removing your old broken, cracked, or fogged up lights, and replacing them with these new high quality stock replacements, American Muscle Part number 49338.

Product Features
OEM Styling. This set of two OEM style replacement SVT Cobra Fog Lights are the perfect replacement of your cracked, scratched, or yellowed 2003 to 2004 Cobra's fog lights.
Improves Visibility. Now you can improve your night visibility just by replacing your old weathered and yellowed stock fog lights with a brand new set of fog lights from American Muscle.
OEM Quality. These Fog Lights with include mounting brackets are made to the original factory specifications from OEM quality materials for a perfect factory fit on any 2003 to 2004 SVT Cobra.
Bulb application. These Fog Lights use a H10 bulb. American Muscle offers high quality H10 replacement bulbs from Luminics and Sylvania. See the drop down menu option above.
Product features:

• OEM stock look.
• Includes mounting brackets.
• Includes driver and passenger side.
• They are sold as a set of two.
• They fit 2003 and 2004 Cobras.

Tools needed:

• a ¼ in ratchet
• an 8 mm socket
• a ¼ in extension if necessary

Installation:

1. Step one is to open the hood on your 2003 or 2004 Cobra, and disconnect the ground wire, or the negative battery cable. This is simply a precautionary step so that you do not accidently touch a hot wire to ground and create a spark.
2. Step two is to raise the vehicle up and secure it properly on either a set of jack stands or on a hydraulic lift (if you have one); car ramps are also a very easy way to get under the vehicle.
3. The best way for you to go about doing this is to swap the fog lights out one at a time so that you have the other to refer to incase you accidently put the light on the wrong way or something happens during the install. Now that that is said, remove the clip from the back of one of the lights.
4. Next you need to remove the four 8 mm bolts from the old fog light bracket. Make sure, however, that you do not remove the two 8 mm bolts that are holding in the black trim piece in front of the fog light bracket.
5. Once the old one is removed, simply line the new bracket back up, start all of the bolts back in there threads and tighten them back up.
6. After this is done, plug the wires back into the bulb on the back of the bracket.
7. For step seven, simply repeat steps four through six with the other side.
8. After this is done, lower the car back down and reconnect the negative battery cable.

Now it is time to check out your new fog lights. Once the battery cable is reconnected, go in the car and turn
your ambers on. Make sure your fog light switch is turned on and then check that your new OEM style fog
lights are functioning properly. Finally turn your head lights on and insure that the fog lights are still on and
functioning properly. If so then you are ready to go!

Also, you're a little inconsistent in the capitalization and possessive punctuation on "Cobra"...

Step 3 - Move the information about doing them one at a time above the replacement steps as a note. Start that step at the word "Remove"
