Finally!! I full of 4eye Pride!!
Its official.... I drove 632 miles round trip yesterday to land this 1-owner all original equipment 1985 GT Vert (5 speed). She needs a little of this and a little of that but the price was right and I did buy it to be a 'project'. About mid way home It got rather cold with the top down. I was so stoked I didnt even stop to put the top up.
I would now like to respectfully request info on how I can become a member of the club.

Eh, its a long way from winning anything at a show. I will bring her just to support the team. I may enter her if I can get some of these exterior cosmetic issues fixed.
moulding colors dont match (most grey some black)
moulding on pass quarter dislodged at one end.
couple small "key" scratches about 5" long

Way to go, KEEP!
I got a lot of experience on them things, no matter what that soon-to-be-unBullitt person above me says.
Heck, ya ought to put it in the show anyway. There are not many 4-eyes in the show. It's cool to see them.
As far as how to join the club, easiest way is to surf on over to the website, download and fill out the membership form, then bring it with you when you enter your car. You will have to consider if you enter your car in the general population, then enter the club... or enter the club, then put your car in the club car class.
Oh, and when ya do, poke Mark with a stick.

How are the seats?
I like the exterior color of yours better than my Orange that pretends to be Red!
This is my 2nd, the first 86 GT Vert I had back in 1990 to 1995, bought it with 28k miles, sold it with over 100k. It was the metallic maroon with the lower half the flat gray. Same interior as I have now and options. The first one was much faster.
I'm trying to snag some new seats and go fast stuff to make it run right with the E303 cam the PO put in it.
My car is not in any shape (to me) to put in any show. The dash is a little burnt looking, not cracked though. The Dr seat is bad. The paint has a few small chips, the exterior gray moldings are faded and mismatched.

My carpet was replaced with the darker gray, which is fine with me on the first one I had, I couldn't keep that light gray clean.
The door panels look pretty good. When I had them off, they were bowed some, but look Ok when they are on the door.
I just replaced the interior dew wipes on the doors, I have the rears, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
My top is in pretty good shape, there were 2 small spots I used some clear silicone caulk on. I can tell the PO left the top down a lot, the Inside is faded. He got a new parade cover, but never used it. It doesn't fit on as well as the original one I had, but it looks good.

Puter,
Last summer I entered my very nice customized 928 into a local church car show. There were only 5 or 6 cars in the Import class, I was last.
One car was a Mint 80's Mercedes convertible.
One was a Honda Element - basically off the showroom floor
One was a Honda Del Sol - cheesy, some bad paint
One was a Nissan 240SX some rims, etc
I can't remember the others, but it was sad. My 928 is in MUCH better shape than the Stang, so I'm not wasting my time. Maybe in 2 years when I get the Stang up to speed.

Yeah... I think I was at that same church show. I decided that when they were going to judge my 1960's car against brand new cars off the showroom that I was waste'n my time. Next time I will probably just make a donation and not have my car judged.

I promise you our club is a bit more mature. Bring your car. You won't regret it.
