Anyone have one that I can borrow?

I need to install my K-member and it makes the job SOOOOO much easier than an engine hoist/cherry picker.

I would probably try and do it next Wednesday/Thursday after I get the car dynoed.

I hope somebody can help me out.

 

Anybody know where I can get some steel square tubing?
I can fab one up (with some help from a welder) if I have some 2x3x1/8 and some 2x2x1/8th angle iron.

 

Not sure if it is steel, but Lowes and Home Depot usually have tubing in the raw materials section.

 

Try Service Steel on Johnson Road.

 

Borrow the neighbor's swing set. Return it by 5pm and they'll never know until the little girl gets grease on her new pink shorts.

 

Went there today, got the steel for $25. After I got home and measured, I realized they shorted me 1/2 on the beam. The measurement is right on my receipt so I guess just some quick, hasty cutting. I'll swing by in the morning and get it done right.

Already thought of that.......no swingsets around here. I guess this neighborhoods gone to crap.

 

I welded up the beam today. I had a friend in class show me how to use the MIG welder. I think my weld turned out better than his.....I'll post up pics of the beam later.

Anyway, Tubular K-member is in the car!
