Discount at Woody Anderson for RCMC members

Well, I decided to get some new motormounts recently. After 9+years I figured it would be time for some new ones.

I contacted Woodys to get a price on them. $61 each, After mentioning if there was a RCMC membership discount, they said I could get them for $51.

Later that day I decided to compare some prices online to see how good of a deal I got at Woodys.

Fordparts.com, which is where I ordered alot of my OEM parts while in Germany lists them for......................$28

Maybe my deal at woodys, wasn't that good of a deal after all.

I wanted to support Woodys, since they support us with the show...not to mention the Cookout as well. I just don't like to toss $$$ away like that either.

Anybody care to chime in with their thoughts.

I understand! However a fairer comparision would be to call the Ford dealer in Decatur, Athens, the Shoals, etc.

I dealt with the Ford dealer in Decatur years ago. I'm not going back! I took my T-bird SC into have checked out. They said there were all kind of error codes and wanted to replace the Mass Air Meter/sensor. They wanted something around $350. They said they didn't even know if that would fix it, but they needed to clear that error before they could troubleshoot any further. I said NO.

I called around to other Ford dealers, they only wanted $229 or so! So, I called the Decatur dealer back and asked for "Parts" didn't tell them my car was in their shop. The price then was $229! Jerks!

I would use "Woody" when I know I need hands on shop work. If I could get a part (equal in quality) cheaper over the internet, I would jump on it.

I've had similar problems for years. Last year I needed to replace my power door lock actuators - Woody's price : $128. Ebay price (exact same part) : $22. I would like to help local companies too, but I'm not paying for their retirement funds...

Nobody feels the pain worse than the dealers. They are sick and tired of Ford selling parts to anyone who will buy them. I can't sell Motorcraft filters across the counter because you can go to Wally World and get the same thing cheaper. Sucks for us poor parts men and for you guys too. We do appreciate the things that you do buy, however. Every little bit helps, and I try to discount Motorcraft parts some whenever I can.

Hey, Mark,

Does your dealership still have any older (say 1971 and back) parts still on the shelves? Is there anyway to get a list of your inventory?

I bought a door lock actuator for my Lincoln a year ago. I didn't even check local because I am tired of them sticking full retail on everything. I got it in 2 days from a Ford Dealer in NC for $70 to my door along with $350 in parts for my Tbird. I seem to have no trouble getting 20% or more off GM and Ford parts through the mail, no affiliation required. They are responsive and happy to do it.

ah.. you guys might wanna stay far far faaar away from the shoals area dealership lol TRUST ME.

I hear ya though. I priced the ford racing blue valve covers through a lot of them. And they were about $100 higher than a lot of places online. Not to mention a few "forgot" to mention to me they were on a 4-6 week backorder. Then I read online that ford wasnt producing them anymore at all and these ford dealers were just hoping to get some. I ended up buying mine from Laurel mountain. Ford parts from ford= being screwed outta some cash Buying ford parts online= GREAT deals.
