Custom Dyno tune

Hello all,

I am having my car tuned by Doug Studdard of www.bamachips.com next Wednesday here in Huntsville @ 4pm.

Since he is going to be here figured I would offer an invitation for any others to tune as well.

If you are interested here is the breakdown price includes tuning, dyno time and hardware if needed.

$300 with owner provided tuning device. i.e. Predator or SCT.

$550 for chip + tune

$700 for tuner + tune.

Don't waste anyones time if you don't have the $$ or "need to think about it"

Guess nobody is interested.

Anyway I just re-read my original post and I'm sure it came across the wrong way, didn't mean for it to seem so ANGRY.

Anyway, I thought I'd throw out the invitation, saves somebody from driving to Birmingham to get a tune.

How reputable is he? I have my KB 2V ready to be tuned, and was going to take it to Dynospeed in Memphis, but it's going to be a few weeks before I can make it there and I'm worried about being so far from both HSV and STL (where I just moved from) in case the car breaks.

Where is he doing this? Using someone's dyno or bringing his own?

Edit: Also, is the price higher for forced induction cars?

I don't Think so. You could check out his website as well.

In doing some searches I've read some good things about him.

I could email him and ask? Do you have a handheld tuner or anything?

Yeah, I have an Xcal 2.

Pretty much all I can find on him from Google is 05+ tuning - so I may pass.

Good choice

It doesn't solve your distance problem however I HIGHLY recommend Modular Powerhouse out of the Atlanta area. They are the best in the business for tuning 2v cars. Thats where I had all my work done.

Well, I've had the KB since... 05, I think. This will be the tune after the built motor and tiny pulley

I thought about MPH, but after talking to them once and trying many other times, I decided they were just too busy for me. I'd like a tuner to be able to answer questions relatively quickly. I'm leaning towards going to Dynospeed in Memphis because I have some friends that have used him with good results and he has been helpful over the phone already (before giving him a dollar).

Not trying to take anything away from Doug. He actually tuned my car before I had a SC. Great tuner. But if you are close to MPH...call and ask for TIM. Tim will take care of you. He is the shop owner/tuner. Tim knows his stuff just like Doug, and you won't have to drive so far. Tim tuned my car after he installed my KB. Both guys tunes are spot on with no drivability issues.

Well, It looks like the tune will have to be rescheduled. Doug called Trackmasters to confirm the time for tomorrow and they had a message that said they would be closed for the rest of the week.

He's not sure what happened since he scheduled it 2 weeks ago.....

I guess this gives me some time to do the K-member without any distractions.

Are you going to wait until he makes it up again or go down to Birmingham?

I'll wait until he comes back up this way. I don't have the free time to drive 1 1/2 down and back + tuning time.

It doesn't seem to matter to him since he has to drive about the same distance either place he tunes.
