High Schoolers paint it. I know it is ironic since I am a high school kid myself, but I would like someone with experience. That is why my dads co-worker is doing it. He used to paint cars for a living.

Don't think dad would agree to letting them do it anyway.

Little areas wouldn't be that bad. I know wet sanding the coupe for primer was a pain. Took forever, arms would hurt, and fingers would look like raisins.

Are you guys going to work on the Talon or is Tommy going to do that himself?

We had some pretty talented guys in our tech school class in the '80s. Some that went right on out and started to work. Everyone starts somewhere.

I first went to Don Crews Mazda. Then I went to AutoColorCo then Chappell Auto Paint & Supply. That job gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of the shop owners. From there I went to Quality Body Shop. After that I had my own shop Custom Coachworks for a while then went to Essex Corp (contractor for Boeing painting Navy E-6A trainers (707's)), Bill's Classics, Larry Hicks Motors (get me out of here quickly), Carriage Cadillac (for 3 days until it sold to Bentley and they let everyone go), Regal Nissan, Bruce Flora Auto Rebuilders, Body Builders, Custom Paint & Body, Snap-On, Custom Paint & Body. I spent about 6 years total at Custom P & B. Mike Wells is a heck of a guy to work for. Got married, went into real estate, got out of real estate, went back to school, got degree in computer science ...

I get almost all my help from my dad and grandfather. My great grandfather used to own his own car shop and my grandfather used to work there. I think my dad might have also. So they have been helpful with my car.

That one just flew right by me. I guess that comes from spraying too much lacquer primer without a respirator!

It came with a 351C, but it has a newer 351W in there right now (maybe a '79 or so with electronic ignition)

I have to patch a floor pan and put in the new carpet, seat and doors panels, etc. I just got a new tire for it the other day.
