wanna know the easiest way to fix this, the American people should build their own refineries insead of relying on the big oil companies.

 

I agree....won't happen though.....I believe we will be headed down the same path as europe 6.50 a gallon eventually.....be prepared.

 

Gas prices are going down in most places... some believe its an anomaly that mysteriously occurs before a major national election.

 

i actually was talking about this yesterday with one of our companies financial guru's and he said it only takes 300mil to build a good sized refinery. thats not much at all. If all of or most of the US chipped in lets say 25-30 bucks 30*300mil thats lik 9 billion dollars, that is way more than enough to build several refineries, then at the same tim it would cause unemployment to go down. then you could put the rest into tapping the gulf with all of its oil, and the oil problem will go away, then we have an american oil company. That eliminates the dependency on the middle east.

 

Might happen if we didn't have so many environmentalist donkeys in Congress...

 

well the whole problem with them is, they have people that stand behind them, but if more people stood by the non-enviromentalist the politician would do what they do best move to the other side of the board. and who is to say with the possible 9 billion that could be raised that we couldn't buy some of the ocean (stupid idea and cant happen but its a good hypothetical question) and make our own stuff there so it's private property?
