I'm off Patterson in Briarfork Village. Puter, yea it's getting rebuilt. He just hasn't finished it yet, so I'm down with nothing on the car right now. He did say since it's taking so long he's not charging me though, so it's cool.
why did you have the carb rebuilt in the first place .. most kits take at most 30 minutes to put in and only mean replacing gaskets -pumps -and o rings to fix leaks usually ... someone is dragging their feet on you ..
Sorry for stealing the thread, BA. Didn't mean to. I had it rebuilt because it has backfired a few too many times and blew everything out. The rear 2 barrels don't even work on it. It was leaking from every place it could leak. The guy that's building it is a good guy, and really good with carbs. I myself have never touched one. That's why I opted for someone with experience. He works on other cars on the side as well, and had a couple of people who needed their cars back for work, so I told him no rush on my carb.
He was also going to try and convert mine back to a vacuum secondary and get rid of the homemade rig that made it into a double pumper, because it's bogging the car really bad. He had to find one of his old ones to get the parts from. So he had a lot of stuff to do. All in all though, I don't mind because he is doing it for free.
