I found a 01 Cobra Vert for a reasonable price with low miles. My concern is the seats are ALL leather, front and back. Every other one I have come across is leather with the suede inserts.

Any experts know what would be up with this? I'd prefer the leather suede, but the price/mileage is good on this one. It had COBRA on the rear bumper, it has the Cobra, Cobra floor mats, SVT center caps, a CarFax was already run.

Would this be a freak that escaped with GT seats, a rare special order?

I don't believe they're GT seats because of the side bolsters and the pattern on the seats.

 

I had a 99 and the seats were all leather. I don't think the suede started until 2003.

 

Actually Chad, the pic I posted is of an '01. '99's were GT seats, Suede started in '01.

 

I drove up there and looked at it, you could feel an indentation where the Cobra emblems used to be. I'm guessing either someone didn't like the Suede, they got the Suede really dirty, or burned a hole, tore them and had the center sections recovered.

 

ya 01 cobra's have a suede in the center with an embroidered cobra, similar to the 03-04, but not quite as nice. the 99 cobras are nothing more then gt seats.....no difference at all, just leather, I think black and tan were the only options.
