BJ Car Show
I was there for a short time. RCMC had 6 cars there and Skip/Deb had a vendor booth. Seemed a bit hectic, but not too outrageous. Again, I was only there for a short time. This may have been their first show which can cause confusion. The classes/categories were a bit off I thought....i.e. there are certain years and cars that truly fall into "muscle" class yet they lumped a lot of cars that should have been categorized differently. Every show is different...you gotta get used to "their" rules. No biggie.
2 kinds of shows...
1. The Show is a primary effort/ Fund Raising is secondary.
2. Fund Raising is primary effort/ Show is secondary.
I did not stay for the entire event so I dont really have a well formed opinion. I thought it was a good turn out for a first time show. I was a little confused on how they grouped the cars.

Don't be too harsh. Organizing a show is a difficult task. Executing a show is even harder.
When fundraising groups put on a show, they are ALWAYS willing to accept help from those of us who have done this before. Step up before you go hard on them.
My Grandpappy says you should walk a mile in another man's shoes before you criticize them. There's two reasons for that. First, you are a mile away when you start calling him names, and secondly, you have his shoes.

I have almost 90 pics and a couple of clips where Bill fired up the #20 car. I will try to get them up tomorrow. I had several favorites. That blown vette that made the 2004 Hot Rod Power Tour Longhaul was nothing short of awe inspiring.
Mike Greene posted about the $5 entrance fee. I talked with Karen Reynolds (coordinator) and she dropped it. I also know Lou Nozenso that helped work it. He'll be at the Crow Mountain again. I gave Karen many ideas and thoughts.
It was their first show, and for their first, I thought it was good. I gave her a few more pointers for her next show and will drop her an email. Her and I spoke right before they gave out the trophies.
I hear they got in close to 150 cars. Not too bad.

I have a couple suggestions for the show.
1. Make people pay before they park. - Today people could have just parked with the people in the show and not have paid.
2. Have more than just 10 trophies.- Have the classed more organized and have trophies for the top 3 in each class.
That was all that me and my dad could think of.
