98 GT convertible top....need some help/advice
There are only 3 things I did not do on my vert... align the ront-end, mount balance the wheels/tires, and replace my top. It was done by Lynn at Rod's Customs. Total cost including top was less than $800. Most anyone else wanted ~$1200.
Where did you buy the top from? The Fox bodies have a book that can be bought. I am not sure about the 99. It's an all-day job at least. Have you searched the Corral for some sort of writeup?

The top I have is an Electron Top. I figure the labor was $400. It took one day.
You should post on the Corral to see if anyone has a writeup. I have seen where other people have attempted the install on a Fox. You would want to make sure to keep your hands clean. And if it is like the Fox in anyway, the first bow line setup is the most crucial.
Also realize that a new top is tight. Several days in the sun along with leaving it up for a week will stretch it.
