I would prefer the Bullitt providing Ford gives it the features and performance it warrants. A GT/CS carbon copy won't do it for me. All I want is a n/a 5.4, a double vented hood, and DHG. I can live with a 5-spd, whatever cosmetics Ford decides on, and the rest (suspension, ect, ect). If not, I'll wait for the GT500 in red, white, or blue.
I'd definitely buy one if Ford can give it somewhat more substantial improvements over the Shelby GT in the areas of hp and handling, keeping the Bullitt-inspired retro cues tasteful (no tacked-on-looking spoiler and non-functional scoops) DHG+Bullitt wheels are a must. "Limit" production for one MY, not by unit #'s - build as many as can be ordered. Hopefully, this will make the dealers keep the pricing "within reason", say, less than $34K out the door. (Doesn't hurt to dream, does it?) However, if the car is subjected to the same dealer
that plagues the GT500 and the forthcoming Shelby GT, then NO THANKS.

I selected "Not Interested" only because I just purchased an '07 GT/CS vert and need to keep it at least a couple of years. I am excited about all Ford is doing around the Mustang - bout time!
My question about the Bullitt though is - will it primarily be an appearence package al la the GT/CS? OR, will it have more hp better suspension, exhaust, etc. (that would be my hope)....but if Ford does do this car right and give us a true SE then the price is going to be above $32K I would think and then you will have to add in the dealer gouge factor as well.
My loaded Gt/CS vert retailed at $36,745.00.....minus the vert option you'd be looking at $33K - $34K - how could a SE Bullitt be less than a GT/CS coupe? I'm thinking that Ford is going to be in a bit of a pickle here as the (retail) for the GT500 is 42K.....it will be interesting to see if the Bullitt is truly it's "own" SE or an appearence package or similar to the Shelby GT (in terms of mod levels)....

Are you saying that you don't believe the current Mustang is very good quality?
Surely you're not bothered by the current issue of Consumer Reports (the one that praises the Fusion) that now lists the SN-197 Mustang as "Not Recommended" and states it has "Worse Than Average Reliability"?
I can't see trading my 05 with mods that I enjoy for a stock 325 or so hp bullit. If they come up with a nice 5.4 packing 375+ NA HP and better brakes, good stock rubber and upgraded shocks and springs. I would absolutely consider it.
Of course a lot of variables into such a decision, the engine only being but one, but I think the tall-block 5.4 would better reflect the original big-block 390. But if Ford comes out with a credible -- vs slightly warmed over -- 4.6, then that would certainly be viable too.
