I know this topic has been beaten with a stick over in the GT performance mods section, but what are you guys going with as far tune upgrades? Custom dyno, brenspeed, bamachips? Thanks.

 

I run C&L with DiabloSport. I bought it before I knew the local tuner well. Now that I know the local tuner and have seen his work proven on other vehicles that I actually have driven, I would have done things differently.

Our local support is our lifeline through growth. Buy what your trusted local tuner offers and buy it from them. If you buy something through the mail, make sure you live close enough to get some help. I live in SE WI and we have only ONE guy to go to. He's great, but he uses SCT and I wasted money on the wrong handheld tuner the second I want more.

 

When I first got my 06 way back when, I had the C&L Diablosport combo and I loved it. Then I went to a Paxton 1200 and had a love/hate relationship with it. While it offered great performance at high RPM's it sucked down low and the driveability was horrible. I constantly fought with the throttle at dead stops to starts. I've been driving manual cars for 10 years now and would have to say my 06 with the blower was miserable. My 08 Bullitt is night and day from my 06. The clutch/throttle performance is awesome.

Since the bullitt comes with a CAI all I need is a tuner. I'll be fine with an out of state tuner as long as they have internet support. The real question is, brenspeed or bama canned tune?
