+1. Your not alone on that fear. Sucks to have that happen to anyone, especially a bullitt!

man that sucks. Hope he was ok. If you look, the wall was pretty busted up where the car impacted. Wonder why he lost it? It looked like for a split second when he started to wobble if he had just let off it coulda been prevented.

Note to self - car gets wobbly, f**k the race, get off the gas!

I've seen that vid about 15 times...makes me cry everytime I see it. Not to be a scoundral, but I would like to get a hold of the two wheels that weren't scuffed so I could put them on the back on mine; widened to 10.5

I don't think that he did. It would be tough to shift into 1st under that kind of acceleration- there would be a lot of resistance and you would really have to force it hard. He just screwed up.
On a related matter....can you get insurance to cover mishaps while drag racing?
If not, this little bit of fun is really going to cost that guy. The car is probably a write-off.

I've been looking into that myself, but I am looking at auto crossing or road racing. Here are a couple examples. I'm sure it ain't cheap, but probably cheaper than buying a whole new car!

It would totally suck to make be making payments on a car that has gone to the crusher!

He sure did, notice how he is drifting without wanting. He goes right but never turns that way.
He forced the gear into 1st.
Usually insurance won't cover wrecks at a track.
