Can you post pics of Shelby or send them to me and where the dealership is for a $33900.00 Shelby?

Looks like the delay is OVER. Ford is now showing that we can order up to 82% of our Mustangs as Bullitts! That will help get them scheduled considerably!!!

still no vin# and ordered one on 12/12/07. Just one dealer here has a bullitt on the lot and he wont budge below 36k and wants the buyer to finance so they make more $ off the working mans back.
Alot of 07 shelby GTs sitting on dealers lots that dont seem to be moving.
Beware of the shelby Gt there is a problem with the decal stripes as they discolor from acid rain, Ford is well aware of this problem.

Re: your VIN#...x mas shutdown of 10 days, plus the parts delay easily explains your lack of a VIN at this point in time.

Things are moving now. I know of three Bullitts built this week including mine on Thursday. Hope it happens for you soon.

As well, the Shelby GT has /had a problem with the hood scoop "lifting" so much that you could see underneath it. Also a problem with the hood pins in the plating that made them rust quickly (just look at a GT-H). SAI is willing to fix these areas of concern at no charge to the customer, but it's still a hassle. Also various rattles and squeeks from the exhaust and shifter. I was originally interested in the Shelby GT, but am glad I didn't act on it. Way over priced and problematic. The Bullitt is fairly priced and you get a very similarly equipped car backed by Ford.

mine was supposed to be built the week of 7 Jan, but so far it looks like it wasn't.

edit: Just got word it was built 9 Jan after all.

I'll be happy to get it, but after all is said and done, my early order got me a long wait (apparently the first order in the NW Region even though not the first filled), higher number, and the car removed from Plan sale eligibility.
I could have just bought #0003 from a New York dealer.

I thought you were disappointed in the Bullitt compared to your GT and weren't going to get one?

Ordered one before I ever saw the actual car beside my GT.
Am very frustrated with ford and ford dealers. I am sorry to say that many of my ford buddies are actually buying their trucks from chevy now due to lack of motocraft parts and dealers who mark up well over msrp.

Dont get me wrong Im a ford guy, however when a merchant no longer treats me like a customer I go else where. Think I understand now how the japanese are taking over the auto market.

It seems a lot of you are getting good news about your Bullitts. I still have no VIN. Ordered Nov 12th and still in Unscheduled/Clean status.

I have attempted to talk to my sales guy but he was on vacation for a week, then he had a family emergency and has been gone for another week. I tried to get the other sales guys to help, but the response is always, "we don't have any new info you, He will call you when he gets back". "You know, don't call us we'll call you".

If your buddies are frustrated with Ford due to lack of motocraft parts and dealers who mark up well over msrp they'll get it doubly from GM, especially over parts.

There are good Ford dealers and they aren't too hard to find.

Have you talked directly to the Sales manager or general manager?

Regions are a huge problem in this process, aside from Ford's broken allocation system.

I'm going to call back on Monday. If the sales man isn't there I'm going to do what you suggest and get the sales manager's ear.

I may even make the drive and stop in to see if that will help.
