New here and interested in Bullitt
I'm new to this forum. My first post. I am interested in the Bullitt. Is there one here in Houston that I can go look at, and can I test drive it? If not, where can I go do this?
I hope this isn't sacrilege, but is the rear of the car amenable to having a hitch. I would like one installed with a cannon plug also so that I can tow my motorcycle trailer.
Thanks,
Mike

I have seen Mustang's with hitches for various things.
The ultimate Stang trailer, it is made to tow behind a bike. But what the heck.

Thanks guyz.
These are some pretty finny responses
ImEvil1, I will call Freeway Ford. Is there anwhere in the country where I can test drive one? I'm willing to fly to a location.
Oh, and on the Steve McQueen quip. He would have probably liked a trailer hitch on his, that way he could tow his motorcycles too!

I called Freeway Ford in Houston and Jordan Ford in San Antonio. No cars!
Both have indicated they will be getting them very soon. I will just have to hold my horses.
Thanks guyz!

- Where can I find out about options?
- Are people really ordering this thing with an automatic transmission? Isn't that like sacrilege?
- Why hasn't Shelby been given an option to beef up the engine for us?
Mike
Options can be found on the ford vehicles site for the most part. The bullitt package should list everything it comes with and automatically kick out the options not available. The shaker 500 is std. since it is a prem. GT
It's only available as a manual.
How do u want to "beef" the engine up?

I'd like to buy the CAI from the bullit for my car....looks to isolate the filter from the engine much better than the C&L and others. Also wouldn't mind the springs/shocks...6mm lower, and just a little stiffer on both counts.
1.NAV system
2.Shaker 1000 stereo
3.HID headlamps
4.Ambient lighting
5.Active Anti-Theft system
6.Sirius Sat. Radio
7.Wheel locking Kit
I think that's about it for options. And NO automatic, thankfully! And if Shelby were to even touch your car, you'd definitely feel it in your pocketbook!
But as others above me have pointed out - there ain't much you can put on - but the Bullitt pack does add a lot of things.
Okay thanks again guys.
What's with the anti-Shelby stuff? I know he adds cost to the car, but other than that have things proven unreliable?
Nav system, is that one of those GPS things? Aren't those kinda for girly-men or for the types who actually stop to ask for directions?

I used to think that too, but my brother's inlaws bought him one of those handheld Garmins... and boy is that thing obnoxious! It's like having a computer as a backseat driver. "Turn here! You missed the turn. Rerouting. Turn up ahead. You're going too fast. Use your turn signal." Well, maybe not that bad....
If you ever use Googlemaps or Mapquest for directions, it's pretty much just like that with a voice.
On the other hand that technology is scary... they put in all sorts of things you may want to stop at. I was up in Grand Rapids when we tried the device out and in 15 seconds it told us there was a coffee shop three blocks away we would never have found.

No, I think there'd be plenty of people up in arms if they did that! lol
